Programmes & resources for Parents
Understanding Words is a structured teaching programme for students with word-level reading and spelling weaknesses. It also includes vocabulary, reading comprehension, and grammatical exercises. Development of the programme was based on the scientific reading literature. Our data has demonstrated its effectiveness when administered by a parent in the home with brief training and ongoing support from a clinician.
