Understanding Words: A cost effective reading intervention for schoolsPresentation by Dr. Craig Wright describing a research study of the Understanding Words reading intervention program. The study showed that the program produced significant reading improvement in Grade 1 children when it was administered by teacher aides in groups of 3 and 4. The study provided the first evidence that Understanding Words is not only effective but it is a cost-effective solution for schools.
